The purposes of the Society are:
- To boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ as recorded in Mathew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
- To provide education and biblical training for the deaf in India, irrespective of cast, creed or religion.
- To develop the skills and biblical training of deaf children and youths in India through handicrafts, art, drama, music, sports, games, and technical training programs, and to enhance their social, moral,
physical and spiritual development.
- To train the deaf, national workers and pastors in India to reach out and evangelize their country for Jesus Christ.
- To share Christian truths with the deaf in India by means of worship services, songs, bible studies, audio-visual and literature.
- To construct or lease schools and other facilities and buildings to accommodate the training programs mentioned above.
- To provide the deaf in India with opportunities for speech therapy, hearing aids and other equipment.
- To develop, encourage and strengthen communication between deaf children and hearing parents.
- To publicize and raise support for the work of Maharashtra Mission Society for the Deaf (USA) with respect to the work being carried out on behalf of the deaf in Maharashtra, India, by means of literature,
workshops, retreats, seminars, conferences and meetings.
