Maharashtra Deaf Fellowship of India - Sharing the Gospel with the deaf in India

Co-authored by Dan Wooding, an award-winning author, journalist and broadcaster. He has authored or co-authored thrity-four books; serves as a commentator on the UPI Radio Network in Washington DC; and writes as a syndicated columnist for publications around the world.

Wooding was born of British missionary parents in Nigeria, West Africa. He now lives in Southern California with his wife, Norma, where they manage a Christian non-profit outreach called Aid To Special Saints In Strategic Times (ASSIST).

Now Available! The remarkable love story of a young Canadian woman who follows her Savior across the world, all the way to India. Her decision was not without cost. She had to give up the love of a handsome, young Royal Canadian airman.

For thirty-six years, Lillian Doerksen worked at the Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission. She was able to raise her own Honeysuckle Family of thirty-four Indian girls—one of the many rewarding ministries that she helped to develop in that country of over 900 million people. The principle religion in India, Hinduism, worships 300 million different gods.

Just when it was time for her to retire, Lillian received a second call from God, this time to start working among the deaf in India. Some have likened Lillian's level of compassion to that of Mother Theresa, due to her compassion for the poor and downtrodden of India.

This is an inspiring story of obedience and faith in spite of overwhelming odds. Throughout her life, and because of her love for the people of that great country, Lillian Doerksen has truly been a light to India.
